Accommodation Hawke's Bay - Luxury Lodge An historic Country Lodge believed to be the largest single storey dwelling in the Southern Hemisphere. If you are looking for something special then come to Wallingford. We take care of everything for you once you arrive - accommodation, dining and almost anything you might want to do outdoors from riding, golf, shooting and hunting to simply relaxing or sightseeing - so that your time with us is memorable. So come, relax and enjoy. It is great to have visitors here to share a small piece of New Zealand history and family life that some of us have been lucky enough to experience and be stewards of. Wallingford is fully licensed with in-house cordon bleu chef Charlotte Robinson who holds the New Zealand Beef & Lamb Hallmark of Excellence Award for 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Facilities include the summer heated swimming pool and pavilion complex with Warmington Log fire and barbeque, 55-inch plasma screen and sound system, Sky TV, Wi-Fi Broadband and computer facilities, double grass tennis courts, croquet lawns, golf and shooting platforms, farm and native bush walks and rides. Surrounding the Homestead is "Wallingford Station", a 3,000 acre sheep and beef cattle breeding station. There are a number of farm and riverside walks and rides including two QEII Native Bush Reserves covering 40 acres, one of them is an enjoyable and easy stroll from the Homestead. We are located in Central Hawke's Bay among the coastal hill country typical of the North Island's East Coast and six miles inland from the long sandy beaches of Porangahau, with it's genuine nine hole golf links, and Blackhead known for it's outstanding rock and sea fishing. To our north within a twenty minute drive are vineyards and golf courses in abundance, and trout fishing in the well known Tukituki River. A further twenty minutes takes you to the heart of Hawke's Bay Wine Country. An historic 3000 acre East Coast Station & Homestead Kind Regards
