First night

We call it the feast of flavours. This convivial shared dining experience celebrates the joy of being in the moment with like- minded souls. Unadulterated, earthy plates appear in quick succession at your table to be ‘oohed’, ‘aahed’ and ‘dialogued’ over.

Unified by methodology, with each plate being served the moment it is completed, the dishes themselves are inspired by shared knowledge. A hymn to the malleability and deliciousness of plant-based foods.

Dinner at Wallingford

First morning

When Chef’s breakfast gets the nod from acclaimed chefs (think Mr Mangan of Glass Brasserie fame), you know he’s earned the gong. Expect the likes of freshly baked sourdough, jams from fruiting trees, butter from cows and all things seasonal and delicious.

Sourdough session

Join Chris in the kitchen to see how he makes our sourdough. It’s a chance to experience behind the scenes and chat with an award-winning chef. If you’re a keen baker you can even take some starter home.

Guided truffle grove walk

Wallingford is home to 1,800 truffle trees. Whether or not you’re here during the winter harvesting season, we’d love you to come and see the grove for yourself at any time of year, as well as explore other areas of the estate and a part of the QEII nature walk.

Charcuterie lunch plate

If you opt for a walk you can take it with you. Alternatively, you can enjoy it poolside and on your verandah.

Second night

Sturday night is the big event. The degustation diner offers 9 small plates. Each is a story that honours raw elements from the immediate surrounds; ALL grown, harvested, caught OR bred at our fingertips. Everything that can be made onsite; is - think ravioli, Halloumi, labneh, jams, ice creams, sourdough, danishes - and all dishes are wildly creative reflections of what we are able to utilise from our local environs.

Farewell breakfast

With only 10 people in the house, we know you a little by now, so our farewell will be a breakfast that speaks to your loves. A kedgeree if you hanker for fish; scrambled eggs for fans of Bills (Chris was the head chef many moons ago); for the vegos, a tacu-tacu.
