In Waipawa (25minutes) you will many Antique stores, art galleries, small cafes and the Central Hawkes Bay Museum. There is also great fly-fishing (Browns and Rainbows) along the surrounding Tukituki River. in Porangahau you will find The Duke Hotel, Porangahau Golf Course, and Flotsam & Jetsam for great coffee & light meals. Wallingford is surrounded by plenty of beaches to walk, kick back or swim - Porangahau Beach (10 minutes), Herbertville Beach (30 minutes)
and Whangaehu Beach (25 minutes).
