A little about your hosts: Jeanette and Chris Stockdale are a very creative couple and run Wallingford Homestead. Chris brings his much-loved contemporary, fresh & seasonal take on food to Wallingford Homestead. Chris’ menu is listed in the 2018 international edition of ‘Where Chefs’ Eat,’ (revered broadsheet by international chef peers) and recognised Chris for ‘best breakfast.’   In it Chris is described as the most creative passionate chef ever, the man behind the award-winning restaurant Little Jean in Double Bay, Australia.

Chris was featured in Time Out, Vogue Australia, Simon’s Food Favourites blog, Scott Bolles’ Short Black column in SMH and The Good Food guide. Chris’ menus will focus on seasonal produce, driven     by the local Wallingford surrounds with an emphasis on foraging & the use of small passionate, ethical artisans; these hunters, fishermen & cheese makers love their craft. Truffles, herbs and vegetables will be predominantly picked from our own Wallingford garden with our Angus beef ultimately sourced from Wallingford Station. Chris is a born local boy from Ekatahuna.
